About my practice

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy to adolescents (10+) and adults for over 10 years. I work with individuals and couples navigating trauma, relational stress, anxiety, depression and life transitions. I have formal training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), The Gottman Method, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Inventory (CFTSI). I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic, and psychodynamic approaches.

I started my career working in child advocacy centers and have specialized training in sexual abuse and assault. I work as an expert witness and provide testimony and consultation in legal cases involving trauma, abuse, and assault. I have be hired to consult on over 100 cases and have testified 38 times. I have been qualified in Colorado and Oregon.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and my Master of Social Work from University of Denver, and I’m licensed to practice in both Michigan and Colorado.

I offer both in-person and virtual appointments.

about me

Therapy with me

Therapy is not just about techniques - it’s also about the experience of being in a focused, intentional relationship. I pay attention not only to your story, but to what happens between us as we work.

Working with me is relational and collaborative. I care deeply about the work I do, and I show up as both a therapist and a human being - attuned, curious.

I hold a core belief that we are all a work in progress. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing; it’s about understanding, and creating enough space for something new to emerge.

My hope for you are more integrated, steady relationships, ones that feels like coming home rather than constant tension and turmoil.

Personally

I grew up in West Michigan and spent 15 years in Colorado before returning home with my husband. Outside of work, I’m with our two young kids—keeping pace with them and navigating all the adventures of family life. I am lucky to have close meaningful relationships that carry me through, I spend time with those I love cooking and going to the lake.
